Deer Island Fog

Deer Island Fog/Peggie Strachan

On a recent Southern Lighthouse Tour the boat was returning to port. In the outer harbor we ran into a fog bank so thick that the Boston Light and the light itself were not visible. As we reached the inner harbor, the fog became lighter, but the Deer Island pods were barely visible.

Members of South Shore Camera Club made a last minute photo excursion to the HarborWalk behind the Hyatt Harborside Hotel in East Boston Sunday evening, June 7th, 2009 to catch the sunset as it fell on the city. Storm clouds threatened rain, but with only a few drops that fell, the photo ops were full and plentiful. Two weddings were also taking place at the Hyatt, so there was some great music as a backdrop to another beautiful evening in our fair city!

Saturday, June 6th, 2009 – Cirelli’s Marketplace of Middleboro along with the Arch Angel Knights Cruis’n for Charity Auto Club held it’s annual BBQ and antique car show on Saturday, June 6th from noon to 6 pm at the Cirelli’s Marketplace lots in Middleboro. The car shows will continue from 2pm-6pm every Saturday there after with 4 big shows scheduled through out the summer. They also have under contract dr doo wop dj dom from radio 95.9.fm and fireworks in July, movie night, 50/50’s raffles, give aways, contest’s and great food.
